About Leon Penney
I am the principal lawyer who has taken over the practice from Doug Blaikie, and will do my best to ensure you receive the same level of client care as he has provided for so many years.
Raised in Tai Tokerau and practising here since 2002 assists me with appreciating what our local communities need from the legal profession and how to relate to each individual client's needs.
Keeping you informed with plain language and offering cost effective legal solutions is our goal.
I have sat on and advised Trust Boards (agriculture, tourism, commercial, residential property, Maori business and retail) for over 20 years, I am familiar with the needs of business.
Time with whanau and friends, fishing, keeping fit, cooking and gardening are interest outside of work.
Darie Te Namu
Legal Executive
Darie offers support with Estate and Conveyancing Matters.
Darie joined us in 2021 when she returned to Northland after spending sometime in Australia with her family. She completed her Legal Executive Diploma in November 2023.
Katrina Penney
Finance and Accounting
Trina is our Finance and Accounting manager. She also maintains our Trust account and ensures the teams daily office needs are met.
Jan Jonson
Senior Legal Executive
Jan has over 30 years’ experience specialising in Residential Conveyancing and Subdivisions. Her experience brings a very valuable wealth of knowledge to the team.
